Weekend dates for summer 2011 are fast booking up so don’t delay in getting in touch!

Before the Wedding

A typical wedding shoot starts in the month preceding the wedding with a meeting with the bride and groom to get to know each other and agree the details for the day, ensuring everything is captured as you want it.

Getting ReadyAn informal photo shoot will also often take place to get everyone used to each other and the camera.

Approaching the wedding date I will visit the venue to make preparations, scouting out the best locations for any formal and group shots come rain or shine.
This ensures that there are no surprises on the day and everything goes smoothly.
The Wedding Day

For a typical the story of the day, the photography begins with the bride getting ready – putting on make up, drinking the first glass of champagne – to capture the atmosphere of this exciting and sometimes nervous period.

Next, it’s a quick dash to the wedding location, to catch the groom waiting, guests arriving and meet the bride as she steps out of the wedding car.

During the service, photography is carried out discretely without flash before taking the more formal shots of the signing of the register, confetti and first drinks

Formal group shots will usually be taken between the service and the breakfast – in a relaxed style to capture everyone at their best

Throughout the day I’m constantly snapping – taking candid shots of all at the wedding, capturing the atmosphere and joy of the day.

Moving through the breakfast I’ll photograph arrival of the newly weds, the speeches – both the speaker and the audience reaction – and through on the cake cutting, still constantly taking the informal shots to ensure the event is fully captured.

Finally the day moves on to the evening and the first dance, getting informal shots of everyone as they get more relaxed as the night goes on.

FlowersAfter the Wedding

A couple of weeks after the event, the photographs will be available to view – first only for the couple to choose the pictures they want everyone to see and then online in a tailor made webgallery for all to view.

Having chosen their pictures, prints will be delivered soon after including any enlargements and framing required. If a printed album is required, this will involve further liaison with the couple and can take up to eight weeks to produce. Guests can order prints directly through the website.
